The questions schools ask first
How long does it take to start?
A school can be running the same week. We set the campus, the classes and the fee heads up with you, bring your existing student list in from a spreadsheet, and start with attendance and fees — the two things everybody feels on day one.
Can we bring our existing records in?
Yes. Students and staff come in from a spreadsheet through the same admission and hiring rules the forms use, so a bad row is refused with the reason rather than quietly imported. The preview writes nothing until you commit it.
What happens when the internet goes down?
The gate keeps scanning. Attendance taken while the line is down is kept on that computer with the time it actually happened and sent once when the server answers — never twice, by a database guarantee rather than good intentions.
Do parents have to install an app?
No. The parent portal opens in any phone browser and can be added to the home screen like an app. Messages also reach families on WhatsApp, SMS and email, so a parent with no smartphone is not left out.
Is our data really ours?
Yes, and there is a button for it. Any administrator can download the whole organisation as spreadsheets with the photographs and scanned papers — on an ordinary day, without asking us.
Can we run it on our own server?
Yes. The platform is built local-first: it runs on a computer in the school with nothing leaving the building, or we host it for you. The same software either way.
